Apr. 1981: Established Kohjin Co., Ltd. for the purpose of manufacturing and selling media for animal blood and bacterial testing.
Apr. 1986: Started manufacturing cell culture media
Jun. 1989: Renamed to Kohjin Bio Co., Ltd.
Nov. 1993: Obtained “in vitro diagnostic drug manufacturing/manufacturing and sales business” license and started manufacturing in vitro diagnostic drugs.
Jan. 2005: Obtained “cosmetic manufacturing/manufacturing and sales business” license and started manufacturing cosmetics.
Jan. 2009: Obtained license for “Medical device manufacturing/manufacturing and sales business”
Mar. 2012: Acquired all shares of En Bio’s Co., Ltd. and made it a wholly owned subsidiary.
May 2014: Established Kohjin-Bio Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China.
Jul. 2015: Acquired all shares of Pirm Co., Ltd. and made it a wholly owned subsidiary.
Pirm Co., Ltd. obtains “Specified Cell Processed Product Manufacturing Permit (Facility Number FA3150006)”
Jun. 2018: Established Ajinomoto Kohjin Bio Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Ajinomoto Co., Inc.
Aug. 2019: Merged with Pirm Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary.
Apr. 2024: Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market
