Product Description
Dulbecco and Vogt developed D-PBS in 1957 by modifying conventional physiological saline. It is a buffered saline solution that helps maintain osmotic balance and a neutral pH. Its osmolarity, ionic composition, and pH are similar to those of mammalian body fluids, making it suitable for the pretreatment of tissues, organs, and cells.
D-PBS (–), which does not contain calcium or magnesium ions (Ca²⁺/Mg²⁺), contains only inorganic salts and is commonly used for trypsin-mediated cell dissociation, cell washing, and dilution of culture reagents.
